Father and Daughter team sheds 112 pounds to win weight-loss contest

A Wisconsin father/daughter team lost 112.5 pounds — nearly 22 percent of their body weight — to win a Fond du Lac radio station weight-loss contest.

They wons $1,200 cash, a one-year membership to the Fond du Lac YMCA, Subway subs, a pair of inline skates from Attitude Sports and a portrait sitting and an 11-by14-inch portrait from Studio One Designer Photography.

The Worth the Weight contest, now in its third year, is sponsored by WTCX radio 96.1 and Agnesian HealthCare, according to a station press release.

Twelve teams of two people competed to lose the most weight (percent of body weight) in a 12-week period. The contest began Jan. 4 with an initial weigh-in and ended with the final weigh-in March 29 at Forest Mall. The teams lost a total of 602 pounds.

Second and third place place went to husband-and-wife teams.
